Mitterkirchen Celtic Village

In the celtic village in Mitterkirchen the lifestyle of the people who lived 2700 years ago in Machland will come alive. All buildings were constructed with a special attention to detail so you can see which amazing skills the prehistorical people had. You will start your tour with a typical welcome drink. After that, you will explore the workshops, homes and burial mound of the celtic village on a guided tour. At a variety of different workshops you get the chance to try out the craftworks (do pottery, to spin, do metal work, bake flatbread, shoot with bow and arrows or build a blockhouse) the celtics implemented yourself. Enjoy an unforgettable experience in Upper Austria!

Our tip: Also undertake a social workshop e.g. ceramics, metal, weaving, archery, spinning or log cabin building.
