Route description

1st day: Individual arrival at St. Wolfgang
Check-in at your hotel. Enjoy a stroll through this
charming town.

2nd day: St. Wolfgang – Boat trip to Abersee lake – Strobl lakeshore path – Bürglsteig path – St. Wolfgang
Walking time approx. 4 hours, altitude difference approx. 10 m, approx. 11 km
Enjoy the beautiful panorama of St. Wolfgang,
during your ferry trip across Lake Wolfgang and hike back along the romantic Bürglsteig path .

3rd day: St. Wolfgang - Sattlweg path - Lake Schwarzensee - Eisenau Alp - 'Burggraben' moat – Unterach
Walking time approx. 5 hours, altitude difference approx. 225 m, approx. 18 km
Today's route leads you along the Sattlweg path to the Schwarzensee lake. Through the splendid Eisenau alp area a breathtaking view awaits you of the Attersee lake. Continue 'Burggrabenklamm' -moat with the spectacular waterfall and follow the Attersee east-shore-path to Unterach.

4th day: Unterach – Eglsee – Nussdorf – ship to Unterach
Walking time approx. 4,5 hours, altitude difference approx. 130 m, approx. 13 km
You walk slightly uphill through the forest still enjoying glances of the Attersee lake. The nature protection area Egelsee impresses with its diversity of rare species of plants, especially orchids.

5th day: Bus to Mondsee - Fortress Wartenfels - Fuschl am See
Walking time approx. 4 hours, altitude difference approx. 430 m, approx. 11 km
The bus takes you from Unterach to Mondsee. Along the lake you hike in direction 'Dragonwall', (Drachenwand) where you can see the remains of the fortress Wartenfels and admire the great scenery of Mondsee and Fuschlsee lake.

6th day: Around Lake Fuschlsee
Walking time approx. 3,5 hours walking, altitude difference 15m, approx. 12 km
The easy walking tour round Lake Fuschlsee is very recreative. On the terrace of the castle you can enjoy a cup of coffee. Enjoy the even shore path around the lake and a jump into the crystal clear water!

7th day: St. Gilgen - Fürberg path - ship to St. Wolfgang – rack railway to the Schafberg and overnight stay
Walking time approx. 4,5 hours walking, altitude diffence approx. 105 m, approx. 15 km, Fuschl – Hochlackenhof 774 m
Today a true highlight awaits you. The historic rack railway takes you up to the top of the mountain Schafberg 1780 meters high.You will be overwhelmed by the undescribable panorama
of this unique landscape.

8th day: Downhill ride with rack railway and individual departure
